We had the pleasure of attending Louisa’s Walk with the Lauderdale Primary School Grade 4 students. What a fantastic way to engage the children with their imagination. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the walk personally and would highly recommend this amazing step back into Tasmania’s convict history. Looking at the children’s faces as their interaction was required at times was fantastic. Simply a wonderful morning had by all. Thanks again.

Hiwent on Louisa`s walk with my class.It was very interesting i loved the part were Louisa goes to the female factory and we have to stand in a line and get chosen to go as a slave. i give it a 100100.

A very enjoyable and insightful journey. The walk was extremely captivating and provided a unique account of one of the many female convicts who are so often overlooked. Definately a high point in our trip to tasmania, we highly reccomend this journey back in time!

This was the most memorable and fantastic experience – best part of our Tassie holiday by a long way. My kids have, as a result, developed such an interest in Australian History, including the convict era. Louisa’s walk was a truly inspiring journey for all of the family, better than any other attractions we saw during the three week trip! I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tassie.

Hi,

I got a lot out of going to Louisa Walk and going on the jounery of Louisa I really enjoyed the time we spent at the Female Factory. Our class really enjoyed the time with you and I hope we will come back to Louisa’s Walk again soon. My favortie part of the story was when Lousia was when William ask Louisa to married him and ended up being a happy ending of the story

My 9 year old daughter and I enjoyed the experience immensely. Neither of us will ever forget this sad history the way it was relived. I’m sure Lucy can now add further information to her teacher’s lessons.

Louisa’s Walk is a captivating story that is beautifully told and acted. It brings to life a part of Hobart’s convict history that is too often overlooked and is a ‘must see’ for visitors and locals of Hobart alike. Thank you for such a memorable and entertaining experience!

It was very educational. It was like history came alive!
I loved it! Anyone would enjoy it!
Tourists should do it to find out about Van Diemans Land (Tasmania)!

Louisa’s Walk was wonderful. We did it 11/1/11. It brought the history of the Female Factory alive. It was well organised, clear, and engaging. I would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Hobart.
