Louisa’s Last Walk

It was a perfect Autumn day for the last Louisa’s Walk on Monday 18th May.  A crowd of 27 turned up for this incredible event.

In the ten years it has been running, over fifty thousand people have shared Louisa’s story.  They have laughed and cried with her and walked down to the Cascades Female Factory to witness the horrors endured by her and around six and a half thousand other convict women back in the 19th century.

We feel proud yet also humble that this simple, minimalist play told with few props and 2 actors against a stark history should have been so popular.

Tears flowed on Monday and bubbly flowed at the conclusion as we celebrated ten years.  It’s been an unforgettable journey!

Thanks to all who have supported us in so many ways.
