Our two new plays, No Mercy and Take Tea with Harriet are bedded down now. Our audiences are still small which is to be expected with new productions but we know their reputation will spread and grow!
No Mercy has two teams of three actors in each and some are able to cross roles so we can always be sure of being able to offer a performance even when some actors are unavailable.
By contrast, Take Tea with Harriet is only performed by me , as it’s a one hander. I have never performed in such a role before; each one is different depending on who are guests at Harriet’s table and the interaction they offer.
On Sunday, I took Shirley, Leanne and Jayden from Glenorchy – they entered into the spirit of things beautifully with Jayden hoping the horses didn’t go lame on the ride home!
Shirley’s great aunt used to work at Runnymede as a servant to Bishop Nixon (before it passed into the Bayley family). It’s such a thrill to have these connections with history. We are indeed Live History Productions!
